Elgaard storms to first pole of 2007

Casper Elgaard took the first pole position of the DTC 2007. The BMW-driver’s best lap time was 1:11.033 in the super pole – 0.125 seconds faster than John Nielsen, BMW, in second place.
“It is nice to start the season with another pole, the fifth in a row if you count last season,” a very happy Nielsen said.

Best non-BMW was a completely new brand for the DTC – Chevrolet. Henrik Lundgaard took third spot in his Lacetti, 0.344 seconds behind Elgaard.
“Everyone in the team is very happy with third place, but personally I am not because I know that we can do better,” said Lundgaard.

Behind Lundgaard another two BMW’s, of Outzen and Magnussen, occupied the grid ahead of Micel Nykjaer in the SEAT Léon.
