Nykjær wins and takes the lead
Michel Nykjær of SEAT won the final race of the DTC weekend at Sturup in Sweden. By winning the race Nykjær also takes the championship lead.
“Things went as I hoped for. The BMW’s are quick in the start but I was able to win,” a very happy Nykjær said after the race.
John Nielsen took second place ahead of Michael Outzen, Jason Watt and Pontus Mörth rounded out top five.
A couple of big names were eliminated in a start accident in one of the qualifying races.
“I was rammed hard in the side, apparently because of Elgaard and Edman who were togehter,” said Jan Magnussen who had to retire.
Elgaard, Edman and Magnussen only got 400 meters in to the race after colliding in the first corner. The accident caused much so damage on the cars that the three had to retire instantly.



The next race is held at Jyllandsringen on June the 10:th.
