Jason Watt forms new SEAT-team
Former Danish Touring Car Championship champion Jason Watt forms his own team. The Dane will drive a SEAT Léon in the DTC 2008 under his own colors.
“With the help of my two good backers Men2Work and DBS Nedbrydning I have got the foundation to form a whole new team,” Jason Watt tells dtc-net.dk.
The task of building the new team and getting familiar with a completely new car is a hard job.
“In one hand I have a Seat and in the other a list of all the to-do-things in order to form the team. Names have been added to all the to-do-things, but funnily all the points have my name,” said Watt.
As usual it is not the easiest thing to get hold of a brand new SEAT from SEAT Sport in Spain. But Watt has succeeded with the task.
“It was difficult to get the car, but at Seat Sport there were a couple persons who could still remember me, and they promised to do what they could to get me driving one of their cars. At first I was promised one of their test cars, but then it turned out that they did not want to let of it after all. Instead they will be using a brand new shell and build a car with proven components, so things will be close to perfect. Gauged by the number on the chassis plate, I will be getting one of the newest Seats around.”
