Owen leads after round 2

Steve Owen continues to lead the points table in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Championship after the second round at Mayfield Park.
Owen in his Tint-a-car Holden Commodore VZ took a first and a second place in the first two races at Mayfield Park, but due to a DNF in race three, finished the weekend third in the round 2 pionts total.

Also taking a first and second place was Tim Slade in his Gawler Farm Machinery Holden Commodore. added to his 7th place finish, Slade finished on top of the pionts tally for round 2, jumping him to fourth in the overall table.

Dave Reynolds in the 99 Tony D’Alberto Racing Holden Commodore finished the day second in the points by consistantly finishing in the top 5 with a fifth, third and then a fourth in the final race.

Another consistant finisher with a third, fifth and seventh was top placed Ford Falcon racer Jonathon Webb. He finished fourth overall. Followed by the only other Ford Falcon driver to finish in the top ten, Dean Canto.
