Jan Magnussen wins DTC premiere

Jan Magnussen won the first race of the Danish Touring Car Championship at Jyllandsringen. The DTC runs three heats in each race weekend and Magnussen finished second in the first and won the following two races.
“It has been a fantastic weekend for me in DTC. This is the best start ever for me in the championship and I never think I have scored this many points in one race weekend,” said a very happy Magnussen after the race.

Tom Pedersen shares second place in the championship with Henrik Lundgaard. Pedersen took pole position and won the first race, finished ninth in the second and third in the final race.

James Thompson in the Hartman Racing-Honda made a strong debut weekend. He took third place in the first race, sixth in the second and fourth in the final race of the weekend. The Brit is currently fourth in the championship, eleven points ahead of Michael Outzen.
