Lundgaard continues for Chevrolet

In the two years Chevrolet Motorsport Denmark has been part of the Danish Touringcar Championship, Henrik Lundgaard has been sitting in one of the two Chevrolet Lacetti’s. In 2008 he came second in the championship, followed by team mate Michael Outzen. Today the team announced that Lundgaard will continue for the team during the 2009 season.

In the press announcement Lundgaard said: “I am very happy, that we have been able to agree on the continued cooperation. We made great progress from 2007 to 2008, where we established the team as a front runner in the DTC.”

“We have now gathered vast knowledge on how the Chevrolet Lacettis work the best on the Danish tracks, and it is the fruit of that labour, which we will harvest in the 2009 season.”

“If we have to move forward in the championship, then I will have to win – but that is also the goal.”

The driver in the other Lacetti, is not yet confirmed. However, it is rumoured to be either the 2008 team colleague Michael Outzen, or the 2008 ETCC champion, Michel Nykjær.
