Team Engstler to drive selected races
The FIA World Touring Car Championship privateers Liqui Moly Team Engstler, with Kristian Poulsen and Franz Engstler, is going to take part in the Danish Touringcar Championship. The team is hoping to race at several chosen race weekends in the DTC 2009 season. The main focus will be on the Grand Prix Denmark race on the 21/23 of August.
“Franz Engstler and I are working on getting the Liqui Moly team to Denmark, to race at the Grand Prix, and another DTC race, “ Kristian Poulsen explains.
“Liqui Moly is present in 180 countries in the world. But they would also like to strengthen their profile in Denmark and Scandinavia, so it would obvious to get on the grid.”
“Engstler is exactly as crazy as I am, because he wants to race every weekend. Apart from racing the World championship together, we will also race the 24 hour race at Nürburgring, and also in Malaysia, so it will be a lot of fun.”
“Engstler is aware, that it will not be Monza he will race at, but I think he will have trouble keeping up the pace. Jyllandsringen is not that easy after all, it is in fact quite tricky.”
Kristian Poulsen will also race at the 24 hour race at Le Mans, together with the Danish Team Essex Invest team in a Porsche RS Spyder.
