Per Poulsen teams up with Thompson
The team mate of James Thompson at Hartmann Honda in the Danish Touring Car Championship 2009 is going to be Danish Clio Cup champion Per Poulsen.
“This is something I have dreamt about for many years! I think that we can be really competitive this year and I am very happy to drive for Hartmann,” said Poulsen.
The Dane secured the Clio Cup title last year after taking 12 victories of 16 races.
After the season Poulsen first decided to put his racing helmet on the shelf, but when the offer came from Harmann he was quick to change his mind.
“I got the offer from Hans (Hartmann) when I sat in the ski lift during my holiday. I soon got in contact with my sponsors about the new deal and they wanted to continue as well,” said Poulsen.
The Dane is going to get a strong team mate in form of the multiple British Touring Car Championship champion Thompson. Team boss Hans Hartmann is pleased with his line up.
“I am happy that the team can add something new and not just known drivers. James has got the potential to be in the front and Per is going to be a joker in the field,” said Hartmann.
