Jason Watt fastest in warm up

After setting increasingly competitive lap times, Jason Watt showed his intent to win the first heat of the day, when he was fastest in the warm up prior to the Danish Touring Car Championship round 3. The white Leon made it on top of the pile, with a lap time of 1.10,711.

The sun came out, and promises of up to 31 degrees Celsius this Sunday afternoon can make it difficult for front wheel drive cars to make it through the 12 lap race. Jan Magnussen in his Alternative Engineering BMW E90 came second after getting his car ready after yesterday’s collision.

James Thompson´s Honda Accord has looked fast all weekend, and if the temperature stays down, then Watt and Thompson can be a good bet for victory. But the rear wheel driven BMW´s of Magnussen in second and teammate Martin Jensen in fourth can have a good chance, if the temperature soars.

The long awaited return of the KP Racing Mercedes C200 did happen, but due to gearbox problems it had to sit out this mornings warm up. But the team expects it to return in heat one.

Heat one will take place at 12.30.
