Jason Watt fastest in first practice

Saturday morning the sun was baking the Padborg Park asphalt, with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees. But that didn’t stop the busy activity, for the preparations to round 4 of the Danish Touring Car Championship, with the 25 minute first practice 11.50.

Jason Watt showed, that his newly overhauled Seat Leon engine was a worthy investment.

A fastest laptime of 1.02,326, only 36 hundredths of a second in front of privateer Per Poulsen in Honda Accord.

James Thompson followed closely, leading the Chevrolet duo of Michel Nykjær and Henrik Lundgaard.

In the final dying moments of the first practice the track improved, and the fastest times was posted. Rain is scheduled during the weekend, so every lap in the dry counts.

Invitation Only driver, Jens Ole Mathiesen is sitting out this round, due to private issues. Also absent is Alternative Engineering driver Jan Magnussen due to his ALMS race in Mid Ohio, and lastly Casper Elgaard due to two absent sponsors.

The second free practice starts at 14.30.
