Nykjær strikes back in second practice
The battle between James Thompson and Michel Nykjær heats up, as the Brit took the honours in the first free practice at round 5 of the Danish Touring Car Championship today at FDM Jyllandsringen.
The Chevrolet of Nykjær hit back in the second free practice, with a lap time of 1.10,543. This lap time is only half a second of the fastest time clocked at FDM Jyllandsringen. But Honda didn’t give up, claiming second spot as in the first session, again only 0,032 from the top spot.
Jan Magnussen and Casper Elgaard came third and fourth. The fastest privateer was Poulsen in second spot, while the fastest Invitation Only driver was John Hansen in 14th place.
Michael Carlsen suffered from technical gremlins and languished at the bottom of the sheet.
