Müller takes podium in Petit Le Mans

World Touring Car Championship driver Jörg Müller claimed a podium finish in the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta.
“This has been one of the toughest races of my entire career,” said Jörg Müller.

Müller shared a Rahal Letter Letterman Racing prepared BMW M3 GT2 with Dirk Müller and Tommy Milner.

“I spent almost two hours in the car, and conditions changed as often as our position in the classification,” said Müller.

The trio finished second, one lap behind the winning Ferrari, when the race was red flagged due to the pouring rain.

“On one hand I’m disappointed about the early end, as we could have won. On the other hando it would have been really tough out there at night on a wet track,” said Müller.

Andy Priaulx also took part in the race in a second BMW M3 GT2. The Brit shared the car with Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand and they finished 12th after punctured radiator.
