Lundgaard: “I should stayed at home”

Perfection Racing driver, Henrik Lundgaard, was the fourth driver in the contention for the Danish Touring Car Championship title. Only two points adrift from his teammate Michel Nykjær before the final round this Sunday, hopes were high. But things didn’t go as planned, far from it.

“I think that I should stay at home from the final round in the future,“ Lundgaard said.

“Every single time I was 10 centimetres short of anyone hitting my rear wheel. I think that I broke my rear suspension three times. It was rather unfortunate.”

While both the new champion Michel Nykjær and Jan Magnussen managed to overtake the points leading James Thompson in the standings, Lundgaard ended up in the same fourth place where he started.

“I can’t use third for anything, but I would have shown the crew that I would not be stationary in the final heat.”
