SuperStars: A Cadillac CTS-V isn’t one of the most likely cars you’d expect to find racing in an Italian Touring Car championship

TC2000: Norberto Fontana’s first season with Ford in the 3M Argentinean TC 2000 Championship landed him with his second title, with a stylist drive in the season finale helping him to snatch it from Honda at the last minute.

CTCC: Ford also dominated the China Touring Car Championship in 2010 with the Changan FRD team.

ADAC Procar: A lone win for Charlie Geipel in his only race at Oschersleben was all Yaco Racing could manage this year with the Toyota Auris

SuperStars: A limited programme for Fabrizio Giovanardi in SuperStars was highly rewarding, with Gio’ dominating with the N.Technology prepared Porsche Panamera.

SuperStars: After dipping his toes in the BTCC in 2009, Johnny Herbert went rear-wheel drive touring car racing in Italy, winning once with the Chevrolet Lumina.

ADAC Procar: Liqui-Moly Team Engstler’s quartet of ex-WTCC BMW 320s were unstoppable this year, with three of their drivers battling for the title at the year’s end.

ADAC Procar: Andreas Kast won his class after a year long battle with the Renault Clio.

CTCC: Kia’s new Forte was a close match for the Ford Focus in the China Touring Car Championship.

ADAC Procar: Ulrike Kraft was the top scoring female driver in her Ford Fiesta in the 1600 class.

TC2000: Toyota enjoyed a lean season without Fontana, but a season highlight was their total domination of the infamous Buenos Aires 200km race, won by Bernardo Llaver in the Corolla.

ADAC Procar: Oliver Mayer was a late entry with an ex-STCC Audi A4, and proved to be a worthy match for the Engstler BMWs.

TC2000: Chevrolet may have dominated in Europe, but their Argentinean effort didn’t match up, with just one victory all year with the new Vectra.

TC2000: Leonel Pernía stole the team lead from José María López at Honda, but a mistake at Potrero de los Funes cost him his first title.

BTCS: Volvo stepped up to a full works programme in the BTCS, and the eye-catching S60 turned heads, but didn’t start winning races till mid-season, too late to catch Bouvy.

CCTCC: Compass 360 Racing re-organised its CCTCC programme merging with Durabond Racing, and walked away with the touring class title in the Honda Civic for Anthony Rapone.

ADAC Procar: Peter Rikli imported a Honda Civic FD from Japan to run in the ADAC Procar series this season.

TC2000: Scuderia Fiat enjoyed its strongest season with the Linea, attracting an all star line-up for 2011.

World Challenge: The new low cost regulations introduced for this year worked well for Dan Gardner’s DG-Spec Scion tC team in the US, with 18 year old Robert Stout taking the title.

ADAC Procar: Guido Thierfelder won the 1600 class with the Peugeot 207 in Germany.

BTCS: Jerome Thiry left Kia to join Jaguar’s late season entry with the stunning Jaguar XF.

BTCS: The BMW M3 of Steve Vanbellingen was the closest rival to Fréd Bouvy early in the season.

BTCS: Chad Racing’s Kia Pro_Cee’d was often fast but struggled with reliablity all year.

CCTCC: Nick Wittmer took his second consecutive title with the Honda Civic in Canada, as well as some occassional appearances in World Challenge for Real-Time Racing

CCTCC: The Hyundai Genesis was the only manufacturer entry in the Canadian series this year, with Sasha Anis taking one win with the new car.
