Tommy Rustad has been confirmed for Volvo Polestar Racing in the 2012 TTA – Racing Elite League.
“I am incredibly happy to be able to continue with Volvo and it is a real energy boost to race in the TTA. The challenge is going to be great with a new championship and that increases my motivation,” said Rustad.
The Norwegian is going to do his fifth season for Volvo and completes the line-up for the Swedish manufacturer alongside Fredrik Ekblom, Thed Björk and Robert Dahlgren.
“Tommy is a quick and competent driver that we are very pleased to have in our line-up. He is going to provide us with the best possible conditions ahead of the season start together with Fredrik, Robert and Thed,” said Derek Crabb, Motorsport Director of Volvo.
Volvo Polestar Racing is going to field four Volvo S60s in the TTA championship this year, the season starts on the 12th of May at Karlskoga.
