Robin Rudholm takes over from Jan “Flash” Nilsson

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia champion Robin Rudholm is going to take over from Jan “Flash” Nilsson in the Saab 9-3 TTA of Flash Engineering in this year’s TTA – Racing Elite League.
“It is sad that “Flash” has decided to take a break, but amazing for me. I am really excited and prepared to race with Flash Engineering,” said Rudholm.

“Flash” announced yesterday that he is going to take a break from racing due to his commitments with TTA, Flash Engineering and the support class GT Cup.
“Robin is one of Sweden’s best and most experienced drivers, he is also used to winning which is important for us and it feels good to hand over my seat to him. I do not doubt a second that he is going to be one of the title challengers this year,” said “Flash”.

Rudholm has secured three Carrera Cup Scandinavia titles, with a double in 2010 and 2011, and raced in the STCC before that for WestCoast Racing. The 32-year-old is going to get his first run in the TTA Saab next week at the official testing at Karlskoga and Anderstorp.
“I have followed the development of TTA and Flash Engineering closely during the autumn and winter. To be able to race with the Saab is going to be exciting and especially good fun to honor our Swedish Saab,” said Rudholm.

The Swede is going to face tough opposition in the TTA – Racing Elite League this year with drivers that represent 10 of the last 14 years of Swedish titles on the grid.
“It is with respect that I take on this challenge. To succeed in this year’s championship, everything must be 100% and you need to be on top in everything from setup and preparations to physical condition. I have never been is better physical shape, I have two Carrera Cup titles with me and I am going to work with one of Sweden’s best teams. The conditions are there and I am going to give my everything. My goal is the top and you can easily say that the champion of TTA this year is the quickest driver in Sweden,” said Rudholm.
