Tierp Arena reveals layout for new circuit

Swedish drag racing track Tierp Arena is currently constructing a racing circuit on which the TTA – Racing Elite League is going to race on this year. Tierp Arena revealed the circuit layout today.

“We have designed a track that is of latest standards. The circuit is going to offer exciting racing for spectators and provide a challenge for the drivers. We are looking forward to welcome TTA and all racing fans in Sweden to a new experience just 120 kilometers from Stockholm,” said Lars Erik Lindeberg, Tierp Arena.

The track is 2510 meters with a long straight and fast corners combined with open hairpins. Four-time Swedish champion Richard Göransson has been part of the design work.
“We have got a good mix of fast corners and wide hairpins that opens up for great overtaking possibilities. The track is like a mix of Silverstone and Hockenheim and I don’t doubt for a second that we are going to get great races there,” said Göransson.

TTA races on the track on the 15th of September and the construction work of the new asphalt circuit has begun and is expected to be completed in late August.
