Danielsson ahead of Ohlsson in first Falkenberg test

Alx Danielsson topped the first TTA – Racing Elite League test session of the weekend at Falkenberg. The test was started in wet conditions, but the track quickly dried up towards the end of the sessions with lap times drastically improving. Linus Ohlsson was second fastest driver in the Team Tidö/PWR Racing Saab 9-3, 0.072 seconds from the top.

“We put slicks on with seven minutes left, but it felt good all through the session as we were in the top on both wet and dry conditions. We tried a lot of different stuff and we got some changes that worked really well,” said Danielsson.

Ohlsson’s team mate Daniel Haglöf, who made an off-track excursion during the session, was third fastest, just 0.072 seconds ahead of top Volvo driver in the form of Tommy Rustad in fourth.

Richard Göransson held the top spot in the early parts of the session but dropped down as the track dried. The BMW driver was nonetheless pleased.
“It was a great session. We were in the top for almost the entire session, but then the track dried up. The car was great to drive in the wet and I would be really pleased if it rains in the race tomorrow,” said Göransson.

Mattias Andersson claimed sixth fastest time ahead of home-driver Fredrik Larsson in seventh and Jan Brunstedt on his so far best position in eighth. Fredrik Ekblom and Robin Rudholm rounded off the top ten.

The TTA continues with a second test session, starting at 16.00 CET.
