Jocke Mangs aiming to remain in the TTA

Jocke Mangs made his TTA debut at Karlskoga last weekend for Citroën team Brovallen Design and the Swede hails the level of the drivers in the championship.
“Everyone is really fast here, in other championship there are perhaps five or six that are fast. I want to compete against the best and I have got proof now that I am quick enough,” said Mangs.

Mangs qualified 14th on the grid, 0.7 seconds from pole position, and had to retire from the race after getting involved in the first lap pile-up.
“I was really pumped up ahead of the race as my strong part of this debut was to be my race pace. I had nowhere to go in the crash and I damaged the front-end of my car. It was tough to only make three corners, I wanted to get through the race and reach a top eight position,” said Mangs.

The former double Carrera Cup Scandinavia champion aims to be back for the final three races of the 2012 TTA season.
“I like the TTA, it is really tough and the drivers on the grid are very good. I am sure that I can be in the top if I get the chance in a couple of more races. The goal is to continue in the TTA for the remaining three races of the season,” said Mangs.

Brovallen Design Team Manager Tobias Johansson is negotiating with Mangs for the coming races.
“Mangs is one of our fastest drivers in Sweden. I hope that we can continue our cooperation so that he can show what he is made of,” said Johansson.
