Fredrik Larsson takes first ever TTA victory

Fredrik Larsson claimed his first ever TTA – Racing Elite League victory in the race at Anderstorp today. The BMW driver headed the field from lights to flag ahead of championship leader Fredrik Ekblom.
“This was just so great! I managed my tyres in the second half of the race and I had absolutely no problems at all,” said Larsson.

Ekblom crossed the line close to four seconds behind Larsson with team mate Thed Björk in third. Second for Ekblom means an improved championship lead ahead of the two final races.
“I wanted to be able to challenge for the win of course. But this was a good day for the championship and the team gave me an excellent car,” said Ekblom.

Ekblom’s closest title challenger Linus Ohlsson mande another strong drive up through the field. The Saab driver started seventh and made his way to fourth. But with both Ekblom and Björk ahead of him, Ohlsson is 38 points behind Ekblom and only one point ahead of Björk.
“I managed my tyres in the first part of the race. Then the others started to make mistakes and I was able to pass Öhlin for fourth with five laps left. I am pleased with my race, but it is close in the championship for the two final races,” said Ohlsson.

Martin Öhlin crossed the line in fifth ahead of Alx Danielsson, Robin Rudholm and Tommy Rustad. Richard Göransson had an eventful race, starting last, making his way up to seventh, only to drop back to ninth because of engine problems.

TTA continues in two weeks at the all-new Tierp Arena.
