Johan Kristoffersson won both Superstars races at Vallelunga in style with pole and fastest lap.
“To win from pole, like I did in the first heat, is always nice and to get fastest lap in both races is psychologically important. It was a perfect weekend,” said Kristoffersson.
Kristoffersson says that his qualifying performance was the best thing of the weekend, beating team mate Gianni Morbidelli to pole with over three tenths.
“The double victory was great. But I am most pleased with the qualifying on Saturday. That was where the foundation for the success in the races was completed,” said Kristoffersson.
The Swede came to Vallelunga 19 points from championship leader Vitantonio Liuzzi but left the race weekend with a 10 point lead.
“Things turn around quickly in this sport so you nee to get the points available at all times,” said Kristoffersson.
Two races remain of the 2012 Superstars season, next up is Pergusa in Italy on the 28th of October.
