Thomas Biagi joins Tonio Liuzzi at Mercedes

Vitantonio Liuzzi and Thomas Biagi have been announced as drivers for Team Mercedes-AMG Romeo Ferraris in the 2013 Superstars.
“I’m ready for a new challenge after an intense 2012 season with this team and car package I think we will be able to aim at the title. I know that the they are very clear-headed, the car is more competitive than ever and Thomas, my team-mate, has a lot of experience,” said Liuzzi.

2010 Superstars champion Biagi, who has raced for BMW for the past three years, is hoping to be in the very top this year with his new team.
“Today we’re starting a new challenge alongside a top team and a manufacturer that has made major commitments to the development of young drivers and motorsports in general I have been very impressed by how my new team works. In addition to that, I will rely on a strong and experienced team-mate like Tonio Liuzzi. I look forward to collaborate with him towards a common goal: victory,” said Biagi.

The team is continuing with a pair of Mercedes C63 AMG racecars for this Superstars season, starting at Monza next weekend.
