Sunoco and EUROV8 announce partnership

American race fuel company Sunoco has been officially announced as partner to the EUROV8 Series. Famous for its efforts, particularly in endurance racing in the US, Sunoco expands its plans for 2014 in Europe, adding the EUROV8 and EURO GT Sprint to several British championships.

Drivers from the two series will be part of the Sunoco Challenge, which awards a seat for the 24 Hours of Daytona to the winner, one of which was Williams reserve driver Felipe Nasr, who beat current McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen.

A different competition for “Am” drivers, the Sunoco 200 Challenge, gives a ride in the BMW Performance 200, which is held jointly with the endurance classic.

“Despite being the largest manufacturer of race fuels in the world, we are still very keen to grow our presence in Europe” said Anglo American Oil Company Managing Director Anders Hildebrand.

“It is clear that the organisers behind the EUROV8 Series have some very exciting plans for the future, and we are thrilled to have been chosen as their official fuel supplier for the 2014 season and to be part of their growth strategy. As a company, Anglo American Oil Company pride itself of delivering first class service and products, whilst creating extensive publicity around the series’ that we are involved with.

“The Series fit perfectly within our current Sunoco Challenges. With our partnership with FG Marketing & Communications and their sport promoter ADM Organization, we hope that this initial year will lead to a long, and for both parties, successful future”.

The EUROV8 Series kicks off at Monza on April, 20th.
