Three Mercedes joins Superstars

Recently Audi announced that they will put two Audi RS4’s on the grid for the Superstars championship in 2008. They will face opposition from three Mercedes C-Class, run by the team Speedstar. The cars will be driven by Massimo Pigoli and Claudio Melotto.

“The car is very beautiful and very good on paper, but only the track performance will tell whether the team have taken the right direction,” said Pigoli.

The racing car will be based on the Mercedes C-Class C63 AMG. The first test of the car is planned to be done before the end of this month. The name of the third driver is yet to be revealed.

The first race of Superstars 2008 takes place at Vallelunga on April 20th.
