Bertolini secures Maserati pole at Spa

Andrea Bertolini took pole on a rainy track in Spa Francorschamps. The Maserati driver will start alongside his team mate Alessandro Pier Guidi for both races tomorrow.

The Maseratis will start ahead of Luigi Ferrara, who was six hundredths faster than Superstars multi champion Gianni Mordibelli and his four wheel drive Audi RS4.

Max Pigoli will start alongside Johnny Herbert on the third row, ahead of an all-BMW fourth row, with Stefano Gabellini ahead of Thomas Biagi.

Michela Cerruti and Francesco Sini rounded off the top ten, while a disappointing session saw Team BMW Italia rookie Alberto Cerqui only managing twelfth on the grid.

The first race starts tomorrow at 11.30 CET.
