Superstars 2012 calendar finalised – Including Indonesia

The Superstars organisation has revealed the final calendar for 2012 which includes a race in Indonesia at the Sentul track. The calendar features nine races of which two are the Superstars Series only.

New to the calendar for 2012, other than Sentul, is Imola in Italy on the 22nd of April.

The Sentul track will host the final race of the year and Superstars President Maurizio Flammini emphasizes the importance of having a race in Indonesia.

“This agreement with Indonesia is promising for the future of Superstars. I have recently visited the circuit which remains one of Asia’s more fascinating. It is also located only 30 minutes from Jakarta, which has become one of the world’s major capitals with its 22 million inhabitants, when including the periphery,” said Flammini.

Another new feature for 2012 is that Superstars will launch a “Rookie of the Year”. The winning driver will get a completely funded drive in the 2013 season of the AutoGP championship.
