BMW confirms continued support for WestCoast Racing

BMW Sweden has confirmed continued support for WestCoast Racing in 2012. The team has been the official BMW Dealer Team in Sweden since 1996.
“We have since the start had a really strong cooperation with BMW Motorsport and BMW Sweden, as well as the dealers. I am proud to continue having BMW onboard as we further expand our activities for 2012,” said Team Principal Dick Jönsson-Wigroth.

WestCoast Racing is going to take part in the new TTA championship next year, with quadruple STCC champion Richard Göransson as the sole confirmed driver so far.

“There has never been an option other than BMW for me since I stopped driving single seaters. I’ve had my greatest success in my career as BMW driver and it is a cooperation that has been amazing both on and off the race tracks. I am very proud to keep representing BMW for 2012,” said Göransson.

The team is also planning to continue racing the BMW Z4 GT3 in 2012, both in Sweden and the rest of Europe.
