Ekblom brings Volvo on top in Anderstorp test

Fredrik Ekblom climbed from seventh in the test at Karlskoga yesterday to fastest in the first TTA – Racing Elite League test of two at Anderstorp.
“Awesome! We’ve had a good day with many laps on a strong pace. But we have a lot of work ahead of us still, I know what I want from the car but we need to work out how to get it from the car,” said Ekblom.

Saab driver Robin Rudholm, who topped the test yesterday, was second fastest, about four tenths behind Ekblom.
“I think we’ve had a strong day where we’ve been able to test a lot of different things. Quickest on the morning session and second overall is really good,” said Rudholm.

Linus Ohlsson was third fastest in the Team Tidö/PWR Racing Saab 9-3 was third fastest despite never having been at the track before.
“It is a new track for me and it is of course nice to be on pace straight away. I’m comfortable with the car and we are going to try and go even faster tomorrow,” said Ohlsson.

Top seven was an all Swedish affair with Volvo drivers Robert Dahlgren, Thed Björk and Tommy Rustad occupying places four to six and Daniel Haglöf in the second Team Tidö/PWR Racing Saab in seventh.

Andreas Ebbesson was BMW driver in eighth but had a scary moment at the track, nearly hitting the pit lane wall on the exit of the final corner. Stefan Söderberg was ninth with Richard Göransson rounding off the top ten.

Testing continues tomorrow at Anderstorp with the final session ahead of the season premiere next weekend.
