Jeff Smith to make Superstars Series debut

BTCC regular Jeff Smith is going to take part in the Superstars Series races at Spa-Francorchamps next weekend.
“I’m convinced that Superstars is currently one of the benchmark championships at international level and I was looking forward to enter at least one race this season,” said Smith.

Smith, who drives a Honda Civic in the BTCC this year, is going to drive a BMW M3, prepared by Team BMW Dinamic.

“Smith was eager to enter a Superstars race this season and we worked together in order to make it possible on a fascinating venue like Spa-Francorchamps,” said Walter Grummerer, Team Manager of Team Target Competition, aiding Smith in his Superstars debut with Team BMW Dinamic.

“Our goal is to take this race as a test, with a competitive car, and work with an eye on the 2013 season. We decided to join Team BMW Dinamic also because of our relationship with Roberto Ravaglia. He put us in contact with the team and provides them with his direct support.”

The race at Spa is the sixth round of nine in the 2012 International Superstars Series.
