Bigger air restrictor for Audi in Superstars
A new balance of performance has been decided by the dedicated bureau of the Superstars Series. The final three rounds will see the following modifications to the technical parameters of the cars.
BMW M3 E90 -20 kg = 1230 kg
Jaguar XF -25 kg = 1345 kg
Audi RS5 +-0 kg = 1400 kg – Air restrictor changed from 82.8 to 85.0
Lexus ISF -20 kg = 1300 kg
The BMW M3, the Lexus ISF and the Jaguar XF will be lighter for the next three events.
While the weight remains unchanged for the Audi, an important change will take place. The air restrictor, which had been placed on the German cars ahead of the Mugello weekend, has been allowed to be bigger, from 82.8 to 85.0. The change will give the Audi engine more power, an all-important factor at the fast Pergusa track which is next up.
The new Mercedes C63 AMG Coupè, which will make its debut at Pergusa, will feature two 61.0 restrictor plates and the minimum weight will be of 1360 kilos. The weight of the saloon model of the C63 AMG remains unchanged, implying that the championship leader’s car has been taken as a reference for the adjustments.
