RC Motorsport set to field two revamped Cadillacs
Cadillac RC Motorsport will be back to the Superstars Series for a full season with two completely renewed CTS-Vs, as team owner Alessandro Salvati explains:”We have made major changes to the cars, particularly in the chassis and suspension areas. The CTS-V the fans will see will be almost completely new cars.”
The team’s renewed commitment to the series will be led by drivers Roberto Benedetti and Roberto Del Castello, who have both been at the wheel of the old version of the Cadillac and are convinced that the car will be competitive. “On paper the CTS-V looks very competitive”, said Del Castello. “As we are speaking two engineers are working 24/7 on our cars to prepare them to the best. As for me, I will come back to the Series to give it my best shot.”
Roberto Benedetti wants to be competitive as well:”It’s going to be interesting to see the fight between the American supercars, our Cadillacs against the Lumina and the all-new Camaro. We will have a 7-litre engine which has more than 500 bhp, which we will try to exploit in Monza, where there will only be one car before the other is assembled.”
Alessandro Salvati has confirmed that towards the end of the championship the team will be able to field the Coupè version of the CTS-V.
The Superstars Series kicks off at Monza on April 7th.
